Day 1 Friday 8th January 2010
Kia Ora! Welcome to New Zealand
Upon arrival at Auckland International Airport you are greeted by a Pure
Tiyulim representative and transferred to your hotel in Auckland City.
This afternoon we enjoy a Highlights tour of Auckland City including vibrant
Queen Street, Parnell and Auckland’s Sky Tower, which at 328 metres
is the tallest tower in the Southern Hemisphere, offering breath-taking
views for more than 80 kilometres in every direction you will enjoy panoramic
views of Auckland the City of Sails. We make preparations for Shabbat
with services followed by our first Shabbat Eve dinner.
Day 2 Saturday 9th January 2010
Today we spend Shabbat with the Auckland Jewish Community including a special Kiddush. In the afternoon there is the option of a walking tour of downtown Auckland which features the Auckland City Winter Gardens and Museum, or simply take in Auckland the City of Sails.
Day 3 Sunday 10th January 2010
Our Tour of New Zealand Begins!
We start the day with a Good Beginnings Breakfast at our hotel in Auckland
then board our Coach as we travel down through New Zealand’s beautiful
countryside. On our way to Rotorua we come across the town of Tirau,
known for its antique shops and unusual animal-shaped corrugated iron
buildings. In the afternoon, as we arrive in Rotorua, we stop at the
Agrodome to give an insight into New Zealand’s farming history
and discover the 10 sheep to every 1 human in New Zealand ratio. Tonight
enjoy a special show and feast at a traditional Maori Cultural
show.
Day 4 Monday 11th January 2010
This is your first ** “You decide” optional
morning.
• For those of you who wish to get a quick 9 holes, in early morning
Tee Times
are available at a unique golf course where Boiling Mud Pools
double as sand traps
- Tour to Te Puia and view the mighty geysers, boiling mud pools and the culture of the Maori people
- For the adventurous, or those who wish to simply take in the breathtaking views, we travel to the Gondola and Ludge
- Simply take in the shopping of Rotorua’s city centre
- Check with your tour manager for more great options
At 1:30 in the afternoon we fly to Queenstown in the South Island of New
Zealand. We then transfer to our hotel with a mini tour of the Queenstown
area, enjoying stunning views of Lake Wakatipu and the iconic mountains
called The Remarkables.
Day 5
Tuesday 12th January 2010
Today is your ** “You decide” Day
• If golf is your forte then travel to the Queenstown Golf Club,
the course is situated in the amphitheatre of the Remarkable Mountains
and offers a unique opportunity to play on what is internationally regarded
as one of the more picturesque golf courses in the world.
- An early morning start see’s you travel to Milford Sound by plane for a tour of Fiordland by cruise ship and then return back at 5pm.
- For the adventurous traveller Queenstown is the adventure capital of the World, this is the home of Bungy Jumping, White Water Rafting the Shotover Jet and Scenic Helicopter Rides.
- Enjoy shopping in downtown Queenstown, or simply relax by the lake.

Dinner is scheduled for 8pm. Please ensure that your “You decide” day
options are completed at least 45 minutes before the cruise begins!
Tonight we have an exciting wine maker’s dinner. We travel by the
TSS Earnslaw steamer to Walter Peak Station where we enjoy a banquet matched
with wines before returning back to our hotel for the evening. As we return
to our hotel we have a celebration of the new moon
Day 6 Wednesday 13th January 2010
After a well deserved rest over night we board the Coach at 10am and travel
to Arrowtown; a famous gold mining town with excellent shopping and yesteryear
feel. land en route to Mount Cook we stop at a Salmon Farm
to learn about these amazing farmed
fish. Mount Cook is the largest mountain in New Zealand and boasts some
of the most stunning views with an opportunity to take in the fresh crisp
mountain air and beautiful views.
Day 7 Thursday 14th January 2010
We start the day with a “Good Beginnings Breakfast” at our
hotel and then board the Coach at 10am. We continue our travels onto Lake
Tekapo which boasts the beauty of a deep turquoise coloured lake. In the
afternoon the tour takes us into the old English city of Christchurch where
we will enjoy a sightseeing tram tour around the inner city, then have
the opportunity for some last minute shopping before our final New Zealand
dinner with some special ‘Kiwiana’ surprises.
Day 8 Friday 15th January 2010
G’Day! Welcome to Australia
This
morning we have an early morning flight from Christchurch to Sydney at
7am. On arrival in Sydney, we are board our Coach for a morning tour of
the city. Highlights include: the Harbour Bridge, Guided tour of The Opera
House and a visit to the Jewish Museum and Great Synagogue. We make preparations
for Shabbat, followed by services and our Shabbat eve dinner.
Day 9 Saturday 16th January 2010
Today we spend Shabbat with the Sydney Jewish Community including a special
Kiddush. In the afternoon, there is the option of a walking tour of Bondi
and Sydney’s beautiful beaches, or simply take in the sounds and
warmth of a downunder summer.
Day 10 Sunday 17th January 2010
This
morning we travel by Coach to the Blue Mountains. The Blue Mountains are
home to some of Australia’s most beautiful country side and
wildlife. We stop at the Three Sisters rock formation, then travel on
the worlds steepest railcar into an ancient rainforest and enjoy lunch “Bush
Style” before returning back to the coach and onto the Featherdale
Wildlife Park. This afternoon you have the chance to interact with some
of Australia’s amazing wildlife including Kangaroo’s, Koala’s,
Dingo’s and more. This is a great day to have your photo taken
hugging a Koala or feeding a Kangaroo.
Day 11 Monday 18th January 2010
Today is your ** “You decide” Day
- Tackle the Sydney Bridge Climb and take in the breath taking views of the city as the sun rises or sets
- Cruise on Sydney’s famous harbour and see the city from the water
- Take in some of Australia’s best shopping in the cosmopolitan downtown of Sydney
- Travel to the Wildlife Parks of Sydney’s east suburbs
- Enjoy the Summer heat and beach lifestyle of Sydney’s vibrant city

Day 12 Tuesday 19th January 2010
This morning we have an early flight at 9.30am to Ayers Rock. Upon arrival, we are transferred to our hotel before a tour of the Outback. We arrive at Uluru reserve and learn the Aboriginal Legends of Ayers Rock. See the amazing colour changes as the sun sets on Ayers Rock. Tonight we enjoy dining under the stars, experiencing the 'Sounds of Silence' dinner which is a night you will not forget.
Day 13 Wednesday 20th January 2010
This morning we take a guided walk to the base of Ayers Rock. We then
board our coach as we travel onto Alice Springs; stopping en route at a
camel farm where you will have the chance to ride a camel (Own Expense)
in the Red Centre of Australia. On arrival in Alice Springs, enjoy a town
tour including the Telegraph Station, the Royal Flying Doctor Service Base
and the 'dry' Todd River before a unique Aussie Outback Camp Oven BBQ Dinner.
Day 14 Thursday 21st January 2010
This morning we board our domestic flight bound for Melbourne city. We
transfer to our hotel in the afternoon and start to take in the buzz
of cultural Melbourne.
Day 15 Friday 22nd January 2010
This morning we enjoy a city tour of Melbourne. Highlights include Melbourne’s
busy St. Kilda Beach, a chance for some fun at Luna Park, exploring Cultural
Federation Square and the Holocaust Museum of Melbourne. We then travel
down the majestic Great Ocean Road and take in the Twelve Apostles. Here
you will see breath taking views of one of Australia’s most popular
tourist attractions. We make preparations for Shabbat, followed
by services and our Shabbat eve dinner.

Day 16 Saturday 23rd January 2010
Today we spend Shabbat with the Melbourne Jewish Community. There
will be the option of partaking in a guided walking tour, featuring St.
Kilda and the sites and the sounds of summer in Melbourne.
Day 17 Sunday 24th January 2010
This morning we start with recapping the highlights of our past 17 days
before transferring to Melbourne International Airport for your international
flight home.
